Saudi Arabia to Host Multinational ‘Spears of Victory 2025’ Military Exercise

Saudi Arabia is gearing up to host the large-scale multinational military exercise “Spears of Victory 2025” at the Air Warfare Center in Dhahran, running from 26 January to 6 February 2025. This pivotal event will gather forces from 15 countries in a joint effort to sharpen combat readiness and enhance strategic cooperation across multiple military domains.

Participating nations include key regional and global players such as Bahrain, Greece, France, Qatar, the United Kingdom, the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and Pakistan. Additionally, seven countries, Australia, Egypt, Italy, Jordan, Morocco, South Korea, and Spain, will join as observers, highlighting the exercise’s broad international relevance.

At the heart of “Spears of Victory 2025” lies the goal to unify joint military action concepts, strengthening interoperability among allied forces. The exercise will focus on real-world challenges, addressing current and emerging threats with an emphasis on electronic warfare, a rapidly evolving field critical for modern battlefield dominance.

Air Force Major General Mohammed bin Ali Al-Omari, commander of the exercise, stressed its strategic importance: “This exercise provides an invaluable platform for participating nations to exchange expertise, test their tactical capabilities, and improve joint operational planning. It is a clear demonstration of our collective commitment to regional security and stability.”

The exercise will feature complex operational scenarios designed to simulate modern conflict environments, testing participants’ readiness to respond to diverse challenges. These range from coordinated air, land, and maritime operations to cyber defence and electronic attack techniques.
